BASIC

Required Certifications

  • Current drivers license

  • The ability to leave within a 2 hour window with all fire gear

  • Be 21 years of age or older

  • Current BLS/ALS/PALS/PHTLS/ACLS

  • Current state EMS card

  • Current national registry card

  • Introduction to ICS (I – 100)

  • NIMS: An Introduction (IS – 700)

  • Firefighter Training (S – 130)

  • Introduction to Wildland Fire (S – 190)

  • Human Factors in the Wildland Fire Service (L – 180)

  • Arduous pack test can be administered at our facility 

  • Current refresher training (RT – 130)

You’ll be responsible to provide your own personal gear such as boots and fire resistant clothing, as well as toiletries and personal items. Employees are encouraged to bring their own camping gear (tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, books, electronics). The fire camp has limited supplies. 

Loon Lake Fire Rescue will supply a hardhat, work gloves, ear and eye protection, fire shelter and BLS/ALS line pack/ supplies.
